El rage que hay en USA por la película United 93 es comprensible: es el primer documental en serio sobre los eventos del 9/11. Se trata de una mirada desde adentro del Cuarto Avión, el que cayó sobre los campos Pennsylvania. A mí no me gustan las conspiracy theories, pero la versión oficial, que recoge la película, de una pelea adentro del avión contra los terroristas, no es muy compatible con mi propia idea de la naturaleza humana. Es difícil pensar que tus probabilidades de sobrevivir son mayores luchando con gente que está en control del avión que quedándote sentadito especulando con que decidan cambiar de planes, o con que no sean los mismos terroristas que acaban de derribar las torres (según te cuentan por el celular).
Hace un tiempo estuve leyendo un site dedicado especialmente al Flight 93. Es información oficial, dicha por Cheney, que "the Pentagon had OK'd a shootout" ante un avión peligroso. Por eso me resulta inconcebible que en ninguno de los reviews de United 93 que leí mencionen siquiera la posibilidad de que el heorísmo de los pasajeros sea un cuento chino, y que en verdad lo bajaron. Te estoy hablando, entre otras, de las críticas del New York Times o del Economist. Yo entiendo que ante ciertas tragedias el valor de la verdad es relativo, pero un poco de rigor muchachi!
